By accessing or using Mawahibna, you agree to these Terms of Service and all applicable UAE laws and regulations, including Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023 on Electronic Commerce and Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Mawahibna is a production procurement marketplace that connects brands and agencies with production talent across the GCC. We facilitate connections and payments but are not a party to the agreements between brands and talent. We are not an employment agency and do not employ any talent listed on the platform.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep it updated. Mawahibna reserves the right to verify the identity of any user.
Brands are charged a platform fee of 15% on each completed booking. Talent are charged a platform fee of 5% deducted from their payout. A monthly subscription fee of AED 299 applies per account, waived for early access members for their first 12 months or 10 bookings. All fees are displayed clearly before payment is confirmed. The total amount charged, inclusive of all applicable VAT and fees, is shown at the payment step. No additional fees are applied that were not disclosed at checkout. VAT rates by country: UAE 5%, Saudi Arabia 15%, Bahrain 10%, Oman 5%, Qatar 0%, Kuwait 0%.
All payments are processed through Stripe and held in escrow until the brand approves the completed work. Mawahibna does not release funds until explicit approval is given by the brand. Payouts to talent are processed within 5 business days of approval — actual transfer time may vary depending on your bank and registered country. A digital invoice is generated and emailed to both parties for every completed transaction, in compliance with UAE e-commerce regulations. Mawahibna does not hold funds on its own behalf; escrow is managed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified payment processor.
Optional shoot protection can be added at checkout. Standard protection (+5%) provides a full refund if talent fails to deliver — no questions asked. Premium protection (+10%) provides a delivery guarantee: if talent fails to deliver, Mawahibna sources a replacement and ensures delivery before your original deadline. Claims must be submitted within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery date by emailing support@mawahibna.com. Shoot protection does not cover disputes about the quality of delivered work — only non-delivery.
All users are bound by the Mawahibna Non-Circumvention Agreement (available at mawahibna.com/non-circumvention), which prohibits conducting business outside the platform with parties first introduced through Mawahibna for a period of 24 months. The NCA does not apply to pre-existing relationships established before the introduction through the platform. Violations may result in account termination and liquidated damages as set out in the NCA. Such damages are subject to the UAE Civil Code (Article 390), under which a UAE court may adjust the penalty to reflect actual loss.
Users must not: post false, misleading, or defamatory content; attempt to circumvent the platform or the NCA; harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users; use the platform for any purpose prohibited by UAE law or GCC regulations; attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or scrape the platform; share account credentials with third parties; make payments or receive payments outside the platform escrow system for any transaction originating on the platform.
"Mawahibna" and "مواهبنا" and associated logos and trade dress are trademarks of Mawahibna. The platform, its design, code, and content are protected by UAE intellectual property laws. Users may not reproduce, copy, or create derivative works without explicit written permission. Talent retain ownership of their creative work — Mawahibna claims no rights over deliverables produced for brands through the platform.
Mawahibna is not liable for: the quality of work delivered by talent; disputes between brands and talent; losses resulting from platform downtime or interruptions; indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total platform fees paid by the relevant user in the three months preceding the claim. Nothing in this clause limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to the extent such exclusions are not permitted by applicable UAE law.
Mawahibna may suspend or terminate accounts at any time, with or without notice, for breach of these Terms, NCA violations, fraudulent activity, or conduct harmful to the platform or other users. Where funds are held in escrow at the time of termination, Mawahibna will process a refund to the paying party unless the relevant work has been approved, in which case the talent payout will be released.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree first to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE. Consumers in the UAE may also refer complaints to the Ministry of Economy's consumer protection channels.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app — open your profile and choose "Delete my account". Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. We remove your profile, your contact details, and everything you have posted: briefs, applications, portfolio items, services, saved talent, messages and notifications. We keep records of completed bookings, because we are required to retain financial records for tax and accounting purposes; your personal details are removed from those records, which are kept as transactions rather than as anything identifying you.
We use information about completed bookings — the category of work, the city, the amount paid, and how long a booking took to fill — to understand and publish how the GCC production market behaves. This information is aggregated and anonymous: it is recorded without your name, your account, or anything else identifying you or the other party, and it cannot be traced back to you or to any individual booking. We may retain, analyse, publish and license this aggregated information, including commercially, and we continue to hold it if you close your account, because it never contained your personal information. We do not publish figures drawn from a small number of bookings, so that no individual's rates can be inferred. We never sell your personal information.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date of the most recent revision appears at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify active users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
